– 4 large eggs
– 2 cups of whole milk
– 1/2 cup of sugar
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
– Pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.
3. Pour mixture into a 9-inch pie plate.
4. Place pie plate in a larger baking dish and fill with hot water until it reaches halfway up the side of the pie plate.
5. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until custard is set.
